Hi Eric!  (EWinter)!  So very glad to see an old friend coming back here. I am sure quite a few of the other members will remember you from the old B&N days.

It is really grand to see you posting and I hope you will find time to come here regularly now.  You are among friends

Hello Eric! Welcome from me also! Though I do not recall you from B&N days (I was there way back...), I hope to "see" you around here often. Keep looking up, Robin

WELCOME to Kos (Tsoc) - here from South Africa. He is the Soutpansberg Astronomy Club - far North from where I am in Cape Town. I'm sure he'll tell you more about his environment later

Kos, make yourself at home here and I hope some of your friends from the club will also come along and join here - the more, the merrier.  It's an informal place, but we have been going for a decade and come from all over the world.

Hello Kos (Tsoc) ~ Please say how you would like to be addressed, Kos sounds good! It is a pleasure to welcome another from our "other hemisphere" on our earth. I so look forward to your "view" on not only your night sky, but your views about everything astronomical and cosmology-wise.  You are most welcome here, I hope to learn more about you soon.   ~ Robin

Welcome to two new members:  Ellar (Ella) from the US and also ennoia (Laisve) from Lithuania.

I happen to know ennoia (Laisve) personally - she has been working and living here in the Cape for a while and is a very active member of the Cape Centre of ASSA.  She will tell you more about herself, I hope!

It is always lovely to welcome new people here. Hope you two ladies enjoy the atmosphere, cameradie and exchange of ideas here

Make yourself at home.  You are among friends!

Hi there Cindles/Cindy!

Both are nicknames chosen by Cynthia, an old friend of mine who emigrated to the US a long time ago and currently lives in DC.

Sorry, Cyn, for not noticing your application(s) earlier!  We get lots of bogus, automated applications via bots and I somehow did not see yours immediately.  I think Corey also saw you and thought you were legit, but somehow none of us have yet clicked the "activate"  button.  Well, it is clicked now and you are very welcome here among us.

The topic here is Astronomy, but often just about anything goes and we find excuses to go of topic quite happily and easily.

Hope you find it interesting and amusing here

Hugs and once again welcome!

Hey, I've been registered here for already a while, but still didn't visit the forum since then... Nice to meet you all. However, I am not as active member of the Cape Centre as I used to be, because I had to move to Stellenbosch - now it's just too far for me. But I am also a member of another stargazers' club in Lithuania - Albireo :)

Ellar, Ennoia, and Cynthia,

I bring greetings from the strange planet California.

This is the right place to kick off your shoes, sit back, and have fun.

Many welcomes! Again to Ellar and Ennoia, and now to Cindles!!!    Please join in on the fun and discussions or just sharing what you are "up" to and more! This is a wonderful place to relax and share with folks' from all over our little globe called Earth.   Hope to hear from you all soon, Robin ... and Vizsla Danny, my star gazing doggie buddy, and Helen, my German Shorthaired Pointer, 1/2 blind and the Best Soccer Goalie this side of the Hudson River in New York State, US!!!

He was warned  - he tried to advertise anyway - he was deleted.

There is no exception to this rule  - especially from newcomers.

Dear Grinz,

Have you noticed the number of idiots who cannot read? Or are so obnoxious that strangling is too kind a death? What part of NO don't they understand...?

Sometimes I think that their number is increasing (lord help us!), and they vote!

Thanks for watching out for the rest of us, Lee.
