I submited my Globe At Night oberservations this Friday eve, March 5th for 7:30 PM EST. I managed a "3" after turning off my home lights and dealing with the others on my road. Way south, there were striations of clouds east to west. Orion was mainly clear protecting The Sisters. After so many days and nights of snow and clouds, I figured I better take advantage of some clear skies! I had a plus this eve. Just East of Orion and a bit North of him, I saw a Shooter! Travelling eastward. It was "short", maybe a bit more than 10 spread fingers before it disappeared ... But it was so beautiful!
I will always get a thrill from these small, fleeting moments (to go back to another thread). Yes, this one was very small...as I go to settle into bed tonight ... it will be with the smile I have on my face now for being able to Look up and See!
And another reminder for my self to Keep Looking Up!!!
